The collection contains cassette tapes and transcripts of interviews with two of Mary Carr Greer's former students conducted by members of the Nature Conservancy, following the Conservancy's purchase of the Mary and Conley Greer farm. (This property later became the nucleus of the Ivy Creek Natural Area.). Frances Walker Hill was interviewed by Mrs. John N. Warfield and Miss Norma Baily on February 22, 1977 and Mrs. Oneida Smith was interviewed by Mrs. John Warfield on November 15, 1978. Both interviews concern Mary Carr Greer, her family, and her role in the development of Albemarle Technical School. Three issues of the school's newsletter, The Victor (Vol. 2, nos. 6,7, & 8, April-June 1938) and a copy of a clipping about a dinner honoring Mrs. Greer are also included.
